About Us
Revitalizing Waterbury (RW) is one of Waterbury’s most active
and action-oriented non-profit organizations. Since 1991, RW’s
mission is to preserve and enhance the economic, historic and social
vitality of downtown Waterbury, Vermont. Put simply, RW strives to create
and maintain a vibrant downtown that serves as the social and economic
hub for our entire community and which is welcoming to visitors. RW
members, Board of Directors, staff
and volunteers help bring small and large projects, activities and
events to life.
Board of Directors
RW
has an all volunteer Board of Directors. Over the years the board has
included civic-minded members of Waterbury and Duxbury, including downtown
business and property owners. Individuals on the board are a mix of
specialists and generalists, visionaries and hands-on doers. We are
also a group that likes to have fun.
The RW board meets the second Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at Thatcher Brook Primary School in the conference room.

Jeanne Kirby was hired by Revitalizing Waterbury in September 2008 as its part-time Downtown Director. Jeanne joined the RW Board of Directors in 2004, served as President from April 2007 to September 2008 and was the coordinator of the first Waterbury Community Fair in 2002. At RW, Jeanne manages a wide range of responsibilities, serves as a liaison to the Vermont Downtown Program and community groups, assists with fundraising efforts, represents RW with the media and provides input on overall vision and direction for the organization.
