Participants don musical instruments and colorful costumes sure to entertain patrons and bring laughter and light to our short winter days.

Performers rotate through downtown venues, then the evening concludes in a finale of songs by all participants celebrating creativity and camaraderie at the American Legion Post 59.

Participating venues include: Blackback Pub, Prohibition Pig Brewery, The Reservoir Tap Room, Old Stagecoach Inn, and The American Legion Post 59.

Individuals and small groups are welcome to join the fun! All levels of ability are welcome. While some groups are professionals, many of us just love singing (sometimes off-key), playing music, and getting creative with lyrics.

Ski and snowshoe participants are welcome to enjoy this delightful tour, which includes several sweet sidebar tree shots for backcountry telemarkers, picturesque giant rocks, and a steep twisting final descent that drops onto a lovely rolling finish with scenic views of multiple bends of the Little River. Cross the snow-machine bridge to a warm shuttle bus waiting to bring you back to the start.

The trek is between 3.0 and 3.5 miles. It is mostly single track trails and an old VAST route in the woods with a couple of short uphill climbs and quite a bit of downhill, including some steeper sections. Overall, we would rate the trail as moderate depending on snow conditions.

Carry a backpack with water, snacks, and extra layers.

This event aims to benefit Winterfest and the local VAST club, the Green Mountain Roamers, who can no longer afford to maintain the section of their trail that we will ski on this tour. Consider purchasing a membership to the Roamers or donating generously to Winterfest in support of their efforts.

Tickets are now on sale for the Friends of the Moretown Library's second annual chili cook-off, a community event that is sure to heat up a cold winter afternoon. Last year's event was so much fun that we had to make it a tradition!

Tickets are $10 each. Your ticket will get you a sample tasting of each chili made by our very talented volunteer chili chefs. Then, vote for your favorite recipe. Prizes for the winning recipes are from Sugarbush, Mad River Glen, Oles, and many other local businesses. It's a lot of chili, so bring your appetites. Beverages, sides, and desserts will be sold separately.

Through targeted scene study work, this 6-week workshop series will help you develop skills that will build confidence, understand where your natural performance strengths lie, and allow you to HAVE FUN and perform better at auditions as well as deliver results when you are cast in a role.
Participants will learn how to analyze a script for its greater acting potential, apply techniques from a variety of proven acting methods, and liberate body, mind, and creativity in the process. This class is for anyone who just wants to have fun, but also for those who are serious about upping their “acting chops”. It’s also a great way to practice your craft between roles!
Any way you approach it, it’s PLAY!! Come play with us!

Quick Tip: The trick to acting is simply honoring who you are, learning a certain level of technique, and being prepared enough to know what to do in the given situation. And yes, practice, practice, practice.
Everyone’s path is individual so there isn’t a set formula, except to stay committed to finding the best way for you. This workshop can provide you a foundation to build your own process or add tools to your performance toolbox in a safe, respectful environment.
Memorization and some outside of class time communication is required.

Monica Callan (instructor/director) has more than 40 years of experience in theater making and education to share with participants of this workshop. She acts, directs, produces, designs, and writes, and has been seen onstage or backstage in New York City, Vermont, Boston, regional theaters in New England, and many films. (AEA/SAG/AFTRA).

The American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking on an adult. This course teaches skills with AHA's research-proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students' learning of skills.

This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.

Upon completion of this course, students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED Book and Course Completion Card that is valid for two years. During the course, an AHA Instructor conducts video-based lessons and works with students to complete their CPR and AED skills practice.
